Manik Bandhopadhyay was born in Chotka town of Santal pargana in Bihar on May 07 (9th to the 5th).  Father Harihar Bandhopadhyay, mother Nidasundari Devi.  Born in Manik - father was a Mumkar Assistant Settlement Officer.  Their ancestral home is in the Maldia village of Dhaka Bikrampur, now Bangladesh.  Manik's pesky name is Prabhidakumar Bandhopadhyay.  He is the parent.  The eighth child, but the fourth as a son.
